All-purpose air freshener
Clean, fresh air – there’s nothing like it. But have you ever wondered why we spray chemicals into the air to mask bad smells?
As an environmentally conscious company, we think that it actually defeats the object! This all-natural and all-purpose air freshener is great for everyday use to help eliminate household and pet smells.
To make this, you’ll need:
4.8 oz. (200 ml) water
3.4 oz. (100 ml) Witch hazel
A couple drops essential oil
2-Pint (1-Liter) spray bottle
How to make it:
To get a delightful and environmentally-friendly
fresh air scent, simply pour all the ingredients into a spray bottle. Then shake and spray!
So long sand flies!
There’s nothing better than heading to that beautiful stretch of white, sandy beach after a day cruising. Idyllic, until you realize that you’re not the only ones enjoying the pristine sands. To avoid getting those dreaded sand fly bites, we’ve got the perfect solution, just a couple of sprays of our all-natural insect repellent and you’ll be sand fly-free!
Just like our mosquito spray, you can pop a small bottle of this into your day bag.
To make this, you’ll need:
Coconut oil
Citronella oil
A small bottle or small spray bottle
How to make it:
This recipe couldn’t be simpler. Just take all of your ingredients and using a funnel, pour them into the small spray bottle. Simply shake, rub or spray the solution onto your skin and you’re away!
Mightier than the mosquito!
This recipe is especially handy if you’re prone to those pesky mosquito bites! We use citronella oil, which is a fantastic all-round natural essential oil. Easy to find when you’re back on dry land, it’s a proven antibacterial, antiseptic and natural insect repellent, you’ll wonder how you got by without it!
We love to decant this citrus fresh-scented insect repellent into smaller spray bottles to carry ashore with us.
To make this, you’ll need:
3 – 4 tbsp. of vanilla extract
¼ cup lemon juice
A few drops Citronella oil
Water
1 x 1 pint (500 ml) spray bottle
15 drops lavender oil or coconut oil (optional)
How to make it:
Using a funnel, pour all the ingredients into the spray bottle, top up with water and then shake and spray.
Note:
The lavender oil adds a lovely aroma, but don’t worry if you haven’t got any as it’s not crucial to the recipe. You can replace it with your favorite essential oil, if you have one or leave it out completely – just don’t let it stop you from making this great eco-friendly insect repellent!
